Alternatives to Guest Books for Small Weddings | Small Wedding Ideas

A small intimate wedding offers a chance for new ideas and unique takes on certain things that people may not have ever thought about before! When we create a wedding that is smaller this gives us the option to customize to your heart's content! Guest books are an industry staple, but they don’t have to be. We can get creative! Read on for my top ideas for alternatives for guest books.

Jenga pieces

This one is super fun! Why sign a book which can collect dust or be forgotten in someone's attic! Instead, get game pieces like a Jenga set and get your guests to sign the pieces! This way, you could play a friendly game and be reminded of all your loved ones!

Mad Libs

This one is wonderful too! Mad Libs are a fun pastime that simply don’t get enough attention anymore. Get your guests to fill out and sign Mad Libs instead of a book. After the wedding, you can sit down with your spouse, laugh at the funny stories and see who wrote them! This is so much fun!

Custom Art Piece

Okay, I saw this wonderful idea and I absolutely fell in love with it! When you’re getting hitched, you can get a piece of wooden decoration like a plaque or a bench or the letter of your last name custom made for your home. Then during your wedding, ask your guests to sign and leave you messages on it. This way, every time you sit down on your bench or pass the artwork hanging on your wall, you’ll be able to see all the people who absolutely love you and were there for you on the wedding day!

Sign Puzzle Pieces

Much like the Jenga pieces, you get something that you and your spouse can use over and over again for enjoyment and fun! Put the puzzle together, turn it upside down, and have your family and friends sign it and leave a note. This way, when you put the puzzle together as a family, flip it over and see all the messages they left you! Or, you could start with it upside down and put it together using the messages to guide you instead of the puzzle picture!

These are just a few small wedding ideas to help make your wedding a unique event!
